So what's missing? College of course! Perhaps not so much the classes. As much as I enjoyed writing until my hand fell off or studying for exams, I miss the people. I seem to skip tracks once and a while--going from "excited for the fall" to "I miss SNC" and back again.
Now don't get me wrong; I am very excited for fall and what it will bring. Being a grad student will be great. Here's what goes on: I grow excited about the prospective future, new experience etc. and then randomly (on nights like tonight), the growing socializing tweets remind me of the fact that my social life is almost at ZERO. If I lived in a warmer climate near a beach or wasn't surrounded by towns that scream "suburb", I could probably find something to do to distract me from the life I miss from SNC. I've even grown accustom to fitting the "college graduate" profile--aka I feel cooler because I have a college degree. I feel more confident that my ideas actually mean something in the work place.
So back to the tweets. Apparently I missed the boat for socializing. In a way, I like being away from it because it allows me to reset from the previous year's social endeavors (If you're reading this, then you know what "endeavors" I'm referring to!) It makes those rare moments when I actually see people that much better.
Side note: I love DJ Earworm as I am listening to a mix of his songs on my ipod. Great stuff! (http://www.djearworm.com) <--I recommend it!
We'll see how much I've changed come fall. Hopefully not for the worse! :)
Last note: I'm definitely moving to Texas at some point.
ToOtles!
